Ok, I replaced all seals on my water pump, gear gase, new impeller, etc. It is a 1989 Force Fifty drive 125hp. With mufs and with the unit submerged in water, I get no water flow from the exhaust.

I accept checked the key for the impeller and it is attached. My question is: does it act like a vacuum to suck the h2o upward? Could I have a leak somewhere in the new housing? Also, I feel there should be a seal in the meridian of the water pump, merely there was non one.....

Fastened is what I am talking about. What could I be missing. Oh by the way there was nothing wrong prior to me taking it apart other than little water was getting into lower unit of measurement.....

Re: Ugh no h2o flow force fifty drive 1989 125 hp.

Oh I installed the impeller and while looking downwards the shaft twisted it counter clockwise. No h2o comes out any weep holes.

Re: Ugh no h2o flow force l bulldoze 1989 125 hp.

Ok update. I am able to get period when I put the water mufs with the hose on the other side......Originally before tearing the gear case autonomously the hose and muff worked fine on the right side of the gear gase, now information technology works but on the left. Go good water flow from the weep holes. HOwever, took it out on the lake and OVERHEAT!!! could something be put wrong together in the lower gear case not allowing water to go up to the impeller? ugh.

Re: Ugh no water catamenia force l drive 1989 125 hp.

Ok, update, Hopefully someone reads and jumps in. I took autonomously the prop and bearing carrier (the function that holds the lube oil in) and creates the cavity for the water to enter the water pump. I don't see how putting the hose on i side would make a unlike from the other. My imipeller was trashed, 2d i. ugh....

Hither is what I am doing now...I installed a hose correct in front of the thermostat and feed it to the bilge pump leave. This volition tell me if I have h2o getting to the thermostat. (thermostat works, crusade I took information technology out and put information technology in boiling water and it opens).

I am at present waiting on the impeller to see what is going on.

Re: Ugh no water flow force fifty bulldoze 1989 125 hp.

bank check out my other thread. I am working with Frank Acampora. I believe my problem is muffs. If i press them hard together and elinate water leakage from mufs, I get cracking flow through the engine. (thermostat removed so I know at that place is no blockage. Water will flow through the engine that way. Muffs...if but I had a lake nearby...

Re: Ugh no h2o catamenia force l drive 1989 125 hp.

Interested in what you notice out. Mine has skilful water coming out of frazzle just very little pressure at the thermosdat. Oddly it does not overheat. In fact information technology barely gets warm, then either my telltale is constrained somehow or that's but how it is. I did observe that there'south a tendancy for the drive cablevision to rub on the large host on the right side of the engine. Mine doesn't have a pigsty yet, but it shortly could. If you lot oasis't already, check that hose for leaks.
